MODJADJISKLOOF SAPS EMBARKS ON DOOR TO DOOR SAFETY CAMPAIGN AT GA-SEKGOPO

GA-SEKGOPO- The Modjadjiskloof SAPS social crime prevention, communication officer Constable Mabulane, Youth desk crime prevention chairperson in the Mopani District Rashopolo Oscar and youth desk crime prevention chairperson in Modjadjiskloof Kagiso Ramalepe under the commander of the acting station commander Captain Raholane conducted a door to door campaign at Sekgopo village. The purpose was to intervene on GBV cases, prevention, monitoring of victims and to give support.
The door to door campaign was extended to home visit especially on child neglects cases discovered in the area and at schools. The team ensured the community that Saps is there to serve and support them.
The VFR services were introduced to the communities. Men found by the side of the road were educated about GBV and to asked stop abusing women and children, yet men also fall victims, thereof we encourage that it be reported.
Constable Mabulane with the team under the command of Captain Raholane will be conducting mobile policing in all areas to provide easy access to the services in the Saps.
The station commander in her absence L.t Colonel Manamela has appreciated the consistency of service delivery especially on GBV done by the team in her absence.
Shop owners were advised to not sell any cigarettes to minors to avoid issues of smoking at schools by learners, these will be escalated to liquor outlets to curb consumption of alcohol and smoking by minors.
