BOLOBEDU | An elderly woman who sustained severe injuries following a house collapse at Ga-Maraka on Monday 12 January 2026 was taken to hospital with the help of Mampeule foundation in collaboration with Madlesa Cares today on Sunday, 18 January 2026.
Since her house collapsed and broke her leg, the elderly woman was never taken to hospital as Maraka village remained in isolation after the bridges collapsed and she could not receive emergency medical services.
Her legs were already swollen and could not walk or stand up.
The collaborative efforts called an ambulance and it waited on the other side of the river at Mokwasele Village and the foundation and Madlesa Cares members carried her, cross the river and take her into an ambulance
