BOLOBEDU POLICE OPENS A MURDER CASE FOLLOWING FATAL SHOOTING IN MOHLAKAMOSOMA VILLAGE

MOHLAKAMOSOMA VILLAGE : The South African Police Service in Bolobedu has opened a murder investigation following a fatal shooting in Mohlakamosoma village on Sunday 24 May 2026 at about 02:30

The Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says the police were on patrol duties when they received a complaint of a murder incident in the vicinity . They responded immediately and found a 46-year-old male victim lying down on the ground with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

He was declared deceased at the scene by the members of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel.

The deceased who is a resident of Mohlakasoma’s identity will be revealed in due course .

Colonel Ledwaba says the motive for the incident is unknown at this stage and a manhunt of the suspects is underway.
