COMMUNITY MEMBERS AT MOLEKETLA VILLAGE PROTESTS OVER A MONTH WITHOUT ELECTRICITY

MOLEKETLA VILLAGE | Community members at Ga-Moleketla recently held a peaceful protests where they expressed concerns about the lack of electricity, which has been ongoing since 06 September 2025, resulting from a burned transformer.

The community reported the issue to their ward councilor, but the matter was not resolved. Eskom was notified, but instead of repairing the transformer, they conducted a house-to-house search and issued fines of R6000 to all households, except three, for bridged electricity.

The community is seeking assistance in resolving this electricity issue peacefully.
