COMMUNITY MEMBERS AT RAMOTSHINYADI VILLAGE PROTESTS OVER A MONTH WITHOUT ELECTRICITY

RAMOTSHINYADI VILLAGE | Community members at Ga-Ramotshinyadi held a peaceful protests where they expressed concerns about the lack of electricity, which has been ongoing since ,November 2025 resulting from an unconnected transformer.
The community reported the issue to their ward councilor and The Headman, but the matter was not resolved. Eskom was notified, but instead of repairing the transformer, they conducted a house-to-house search to few households and issued fines of R6000, for bridged electricity.
The community is seeking assistance in resolving this electricity issue peacefully.
