LIMPOPO POLICE COMMISSIONER DONATES SCHOOL UNIFORMS IN MBAULA VILLAGE AND FOOD PARCELS IN BOLOBEDU

MOPANI | The MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Ms Violet Mathye together with Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, led a joint handover of school uniforms and food parcels to flood-affected communities in the Giyani and Bolobedu, Mopani District, on Friday, 13 February 2026.
The initiative forms part of ongoing government interventions aimed at restoring dignity and providing relief to families affected by recent floods in the province.
During the programme, school uniforms are being handed over to deserving learners at Nyiko Primary School and Masiza Secondary School in Mbaula Village to ensure that teaching and learning continue without disruption. Food parcels are also being distributed to identified families at the New Creation Tabernacle of Grace (NITC) Church in Belleview Village as part of coordinated disaster relief support.
The event was attended by Deputy Provincial Commissioners, the Mopani District Commissioner, traditional leaders, Community Police Forum structures, Eyes of the Nation, Ward councillors, SAPS members, and various community stakeholders, reflecting a unified approach in supporting affected communities.
Speaking during the engagement, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe reaffirmed SAPS’ commitment to serving communities beyond its core policing mandate, while the MEC emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in rebuilding and strengthening communities during times of hardship.
