MAJE PRIMARY SCHOOL HELD ITS SECOND ANNUAL ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS GIVING CEREMONY

Learners were awarded certificates and trophies while the biggest 3 trophies were received by the 3 best learners in each phase. As part of wishing a farewell to the Grade 7 learners, those who got 1st position in each subject were also awarded. The ceremony was sponsored by IMA events, awards Top 3 learners in each grade from Grade 1 – 7.

The event was honored by the former Radio Turf and Thobela FM presenter Lekkersweet, aka Sammy Nthoke, who was the programme director of the day, the KheloRap founder, who also appeared on Giyani Land of Blood, Isibaya, and The River, is now an educator at Maje Primary School.

The guest speaker, known as bold tiktok sensation, Matheus The Motivator, advised parents to always be there for their children and support their talents. The event sponsor, Emmanuel Nkgapele, also emphasised the importance of speaking positivity to the young ones because they become what they always hear and see. “If you always insult or use vulgar in front of your children, they are likely to always utter insults, too,” said Emanuel Nkgapele.

The Deputy Principal, Mr TM Makhuthudise, clarified that to ensure fairness, they awarded learners based on term 1 to term 3 percentage obtained by the learners. He concluded by thanking Ima Events for sponsoring the event with decor, sound system, catering, trophies, and gifts for all Grade 7 learners, among other things.
