MALEKUTU CHILDREN’S HOME GRADUATION CEREMONY CLASS OF 2025

GA-MAMAILA | Malekutu Children’s Home hosted its graduation ceremony at Mphotwane Village, on Friday the 5th of December 2025. Many honoured the invitation to celebrate this magnificent event with them and to wish the children well with the journey that they are about to start.

The Royal Council of Mamaila, ward 22 councillor and the ECD coordinator extended their warm heartfelt wishes to the young graduates. They also appreciated parents for cooperating with all the staff of Malekutu Children’s Home, and thanked the staff for working hard and the beautiful work that they are doing in uplifting children.

The children showcased their ability to introduce themselves, how to count and the 26 alphabets, naming the four preschool colours and the meaning of each colour on the robot. The young graduates cited an educational poem. They also changed their attire for contesting. There was Pikoko entertainment which elevated the mood of celebrating.

Both teachers and parents looked proud and a little emotional. Teachers talked about how the children had grown, how some of them learned to write their names and how others finally stopped crying during morning drop-off. The principal of Malekutu Children’s Home indicated an increase in the number of children enrolled at the centre over the years.

Parents were astonished about the good work that teachers did for their children, as they can see how they have transformed and are prepared for this transition to primary school in 2026. They mentioned that they are still going to support Malekutu Children’s Home by bringing in more of their children, and that they have no regrets for entrusting them with their children.

The event ended with the young graduates receiving their awards, as an affirmation that they are done with pre-school and would be stepping into Grade R the following year in 2026.
