GA-THAKO VILLAGE | A successful Nutrition Day event, supported by the National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP), was held on Friday, the 28 November 2025 at Malemela Primary School. The event brought together learners, educators, NSNP coordinators, and community stakeholders to promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness about the importance of proper nutrition in a child’s development.

The programme featured engaging activities aimed at educating learners on balanced diets, food safety, and the positive impact of nutritious meals on learning performance and overall wellbeing. Learners actively participated, showing enthusiasm and gaining valuable knowledge on making healthier food choices, we saw them performing two plays, poems and different traditional dances.

Malemela Primary School expressed its appreciation to the NSNP and all partners involved for their continued support in ensuring that learners receive quality nutritious meals, which contribute greatly to improved concentration and school attendance.

The school remains committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and further strengthening nutrition education beyond the classroom.
