GA-KGAPANE | Mokgadi Primary school recently hosted a memorable farewell and award ceremony for their Grade 7 Class of 2025 on Friday, 07 November 2025 at Ga-kgapane. The learners looked stunning, with boys dressed in white shirts and black trousers, and the girls in elegant black dresses.
The aim of the farewell function was to celebrate the learners achievements, bid them farewell, and wish them well as they embark on their academic journey in high school.
The learners were energetic, entertaining the audience with lively dances, including the xibelani dance and impressive poem recitals that showcased their talents. The event also featured special perfomance by Biodizzy, adding extra excitement to the farewell ceremony.
Esteemed guests including a social worker, representatives from the South Africa Police Services (SAPS), the circuit manageer, delivered inspiring and motivational speeches that encouraged the learners to reach their full potential.
School Principal, Mundhluli M.N, motivated the learners and congratulated them on reaching this significant milestone, transitioning to high school. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their dedication, appreciated parents for their unwavering support and partnership, and acknowledged the valuable contribution of the School Governing Body (SGB).
The guest speaker, Malemela M.J, an educator at Kgapane High School, inspired the learners with his motivational words and shared valuable insights, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
Top-performing learners from Grade R to Grade 7 were recognized with certificates for the their academic excellence cleanliness, best behavior, and outstanding performance in Olympiad competitions. The School Governing Body (SGB) members were also honored with laminated certificates, recognizing their valuable contribution to the school.
Parents and teachers joined in the celebration, dancing together and creating unforgettable memories, the farewell ceremony was an event the Grade 7 learners will cherish forever.
The event was ran smoothly and successfully by our reporter, Malatji Rebotile, who directed the program and kept everything on track.
