ORLANDO PIRATES TAKES THE 2025/2026 BETWAY PREMIERSHIP LEAGUE

SPORT – Orlando Pirates FC are crowned 2025/2026 champions of the South African League, Betway Premiership League on Saturday, 23 May 2026, at Nelspruit, Mbombela Stadium.

After 90 minutes of play, Orbit College FC suffered a 2-0 loss to Orlando Pirates FC, which was an important win that led the team to become champions of the Betway Premiership League, having previously won the league in 2011/2012. The South African League ended after 30 games, in which Orlando Pirates finished at the top of the log with 69 points, Mamelodi Sundowns in second position with 68 points, and Kaizer Chiefs in third position with 54 points.

Orbit College FC, after suffering a 2-0 loss to Orlando Pirates FC, was relegated back to the Motsepe Foundation League (NDF) with 24 points, and Magesi FC will play a playoff as they ended in 15th position with 24 points, leading Orbit College by goal difference.
