MOHLAKONG VILLAGE | The Period Pad Drive is a community initiative founded by Tshegofatšo Maeko from Mohlakong village, aimed at supporting young girls who cannot afford sanitary pads.
Currently, Tshegofatšo uses her own limited personal funds to purchase sanitary pads, which she distributes to girls at local schools. The initiative seeks to make a meaningful difference by ensuring that no girl misses school or loses her dignity due to a lack of access to basic sanitary products.
Through this drive, Tshegofatšo hopes to restore the dignity of the girl child and promote confidence, health, and equal access to education.
She is now appealing to the community, businesses, and well-wishers for support. Donations can be made either financially or in the form of sanitary pads to help expand the reach of the initiative and support more girls in need.
Any form of assistance will be highly appreciated, as it will enable the drive to reach more schools and benefit more learners.
For donations or inquiries, contacted Tshegofatšo Maeko on 076 116 2739.
