POLICE SEARCH AND RESCUE RETRIEVES A HUMAN BODY IN NANDONI DAM

The police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says the Police received a complaint of a human body floating in Nandoni dam in Manini village at around 10:20.

Upon their arrival at the scene, the corpse was seen still floating in water. The police search and rescue team and members of K9 unit were summoned, and they successfully retrieved the body.

The male body which was in an advanced state of decomposition is unknown at this stage, but the investigation will reveal the identity of the victim.

” We cannot for now confirm wherether the deceased person is the owner of the Toyota bakkie, a (foreign national man), who was swept away by the dzindi river at Tswinga brigde on Saturday 17 Janaury 2026. Though the family say is him but as police we are continuing with DNA” said Colonel Malesela Ledwaba

The forensic investigations will reveal the identity of the deceased
