LEMONDOKOP VILLAGE – The police in Sekgosese are investigating a case of business robbery following an incident where valuable items, comprising sixty tablets and a laptop, worth one hundred and sixty-three thousand rands (R163 000) were stolen on Tuesday 24 February 2026 at about 00:40 midnight.
According to the police reports, it is alleged that a male security officer was busy on duty at a local Primary school in Lemondokop village when he was suddenly confronted and overpowered by four unknown male suspects.
The suspects were allegedly in possession of firearms and wearing balaclavas.
The suspects allegedly broke the door and subsequently managed to open a safe where sixty Tablets and one laptop were kept.
Afterwards, the suspects apparently tied the security officer and allegedly drove off in a getaway motor vehicle
The security officer ultimately managed to untie himself and reported the incident to police.
