THE COMMUNITY OF SEKGOPO VILLAGE GA MOSATA UNITED TOGETHER FOR MASS PRAYER AND TO CELEBRATE HERITAGE

SEKGOPO VILLAGE | The community of Sekgopo gathered together at Ga Mosata under the leadership of Chief Sekgopo Matsorang on Saturday the 4th of October 2025 to celebrate heritage in honour of their culture, tradition and values that define the community’s shared identity. Also had a mass prayer to pray against tragic accidents that happen and honour the lives lost on the R81 Sekgopo road .

This event brought together people of all ages, to showcase the richness of heritage through traditional dances, music, traditional wear and poems to narrate what has been happening in the past .

The community leader warmly welcomed and thanked everyone and emphasised on the importance on preserving cultural roots while embracing unity .

The celebration was filled with up with various performances from old women sekgapa dance,the tigers dinaka, dingaka tša matsorang traditional dance, tsa manyalo by Princess Molatelo, song by Kaymo and poem by GSV Phoenix this reminded all people of their history ,customs and values .

The Ndabidi funeral services ,Sekgopo matsorang foundation, mošate wa Maake, Railway furniture, Phala music organisation also attended the event .

This event reminded everyone that heritage is not just about the past but a link to the future that ensures traditions remains alive while fostering unity.
