THE LATE MATOME HICOLL RAMALEPE WAS LAID TO REST AT GA-MAUPA

Matome was born on the 15th of January 1938 and passed away on the 12th of February 2026 at the age of 88, after a long illness. Family members, friends, church leaders, congregation, Maupa Royal Family Council, Municipality and the community at large gathered together to celebrate his long lived life, devoted to service, faith, and community development.

The late Matome Ramalepe was more than a spiritual leader, he was a pillar of strength, guidance, and hope within the community. He was known for his humility, commitment to serving God and His people. Through his prayers, counselling, and acts of kindness, he touched and transformed the lives of many. He dedicated his life to uplifting the broken hearted, supporting families in times of hardship, and guiding the youth toward righteousness and purpose.

Many testified about the impact he made in restoring hope where there was despair, bringing light where there was darkness, and strengthening the spiritual foundation of countless individuals. They further expressed that even though he may no longer be here physically, his legacy of kindness, leadership, and spiritual guidance will continue to live on in the hearts of those he mentored, prayed for, and inspired.
