THE MATIPANE PROTEST HAS RESUMED DUE TO LACK OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN ESKOM, GLM AND THE COMMUNITY

GA-MATIPANE | The Matipane protest has resumed due to the lack of implementation of the agreement between Eskom, Greater Letaba Municipality, and the community. The community had endured an electricity outage since 02 December 2025, resulting from a transformer explosion, and the community was promised a resolution by 12 January 2026, but no communication or action has been taken as of 15 January 2026.
