MAPHALLE VILLAGE | The Mokwakwaila Thusong Service Center extended its government services to Maphalle Village, Ward 20, under the Greater Letaba Municipality on Wednesday, 01 April 2026. The outreach programme took place at Pipa Tribal Office with the aim of bringing essential public services closer to the community.
The Department of Home Affairs together with the South African Police Service (SAPS), provided services such as changing old green ID books to smart card IDs, certifying documents, and assisting community members with affidavits.
This initiative helped many residents who often struggle to travel long distances to access such services. By bringing these services to the village, people saved both their time and money.
The provision of such services demonstrated a commitment to inclusive service delivery, particularly in rural areas. It reinforced the message that government institutions are responsive to the needs of all citizens, regardless of their location.
The outreach of bringing the Department of Home Affairs and SAPS by the Mokwakwaila Thusong Service Centre, did not only improve access to essential services but also strengthened trust and cooperation between the government and the community.
