UPDATE | The Morapalala community is gathered outside the ESKOM Mokwakwaila offices today on Friday, 21 November 2025, following a community meeting that was held yesterday at Morapalala village (Mosata) in Ward 1 under Greater Tzaneen Municipality.
During their meeting, they agreed to visit the ESKOM offices at Mokwakwaila following the reported electricity cable theft over the past two weeks.
The community alleges that ESKOM, after receiving their complaint, they issued a report indicating that they are waiting for the insurance company to release the budget and have not determined when they will replace the cables.
