MIROME PROPERTY WORKERS SPEAK OUT AFTER UNFAIR DISMISSAL FOR PROTESTING RELELA VILLAGE | Workers from Mirome Property in Relela Village claim they were unfairly dismissed after participating in a legal two-week protest in September. Their formal complaint was filed on 14 October 2025. According to the workers, the company called a meeting and held hearings where dismissal letters were issued. The matter has since been referred to the CCMA and the EFF for intervention. The dismissed employees say they have not received any form of compensation despite years of service. Only those who were members of the PITAU union and joined the protest were reportedly dismissed. Some workers who sustained injuries on duty now fear they will struggle to find new employment. They also allege ongoing unfair treatment at the company, including equal pay for all positions regardless of job type. In one reported incident, two employees who fought at work were both dismissed but only the non-union member was later reinstated. As Perfect Radio we have engaged with Mirome Property Management regarding thus matter and their response was, that there is no comment as the matter is now with their legal team. The dismissed workers are now appealing for assistance from relevant stakeholders and community leaders.
