MAYOR ODAS NGOBENI INTRODUCES A CONTRACTOR FOR PAVING ROAD ACCESS FROM KHETONE TO MOPYE VILLAGES

BOLOBEDU | Greater Tzaneen Municipality Executive Mayor, His Worship Councillor Odas Ngobeni, continues to drive infrastructure development across the municipality. Today, Wednesday 19 August 2026, Mayor Ngobeni officially turned the sod for the upgrading of the 4km Khetone Access Road to Mopye Village from gravel to a paved surface. During the event, the Mayor introduced Bilmod Trading and Construction as the appointed contractor. The project is set for completion on 19 February 2028 and will create 61 job opportunities for local residents. Mayor Ngobeni said the upgrade will improve access to public transport and ensure safer travel for the community, especially during rainy seasons.
