IEC Announced Its Readiness to Register Eligible Voters For By-elections in Polokwane Ward 30

LISTENABLE | The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) in Limpopo Province has announced its readiness to register eligible voters this coming weekend in Ward 34 of Polokwane Local Municipality. The registration weekend is taking place in preparation for the by-election scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 25 February 2026. Voting stations in the ward will open this Saturday, 10 January and Sunday, 11 January 2026 from 08h00 to 17h00. Voting stations will open to allow all eligible voters to register, and for current voters to check their registration details, and also to provide or update address details where necessary. The vacancy occurred due to the death of the Ward Councillor. The ward was previously represented by the African National Congress (ANC).
