GREATER TZANEEN MUNICIPALITY HANDOVER PAVING PROJECTS IN WARD 21 AND 19

NKOWANKOWA | The Greater Tzaneen Municipality has handed over a project today on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, aimed at upgrading gravel roads to paved roads in Wards 19 and 21. The road in Nkowankowa D, Ward 21, covers 2.4 km, while the road in Ward 19 unit B covers 2.5 km. Ward 21 will be upgraded at a total cost of R26 million and ward 19 in a total of 28 million.The project is expected to be completed within 10 months. This development is set to improve the daily lives of community members by providing better road infrastructure and creating job opportunities for Nkowankowa residents, with 30 job opportunities from Nkowankowa ward 19 and 23 local communities from Nkowankowa ward 21 being created, including for people living with disabilities. "As the municipality, we will keep on identifying other problematic roads and plans to implement further improvements in due course," says Acting Mayor, Head of infrastructure Cllr Conny Ramothwala.
