ANC WINS POLOKWANE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY BY-ELECTIONS

POLOKWANE: The African National Congress (ANC) won the By-Elections by 72% of votes during the By-Elections contested yesterday on 25 February 2026 in Ward 34 of Polokwane Local Municipality, Limpopo Province. The new ANC Ward Councillor is: Matsikinyane Freddy Makgoba, in Ward 34 of Polokwane Local Municipality – LIM 354. The party retained the seat it won in the 2021 Local Government Elections, with 72.02% of the total valid votes cast yesterday. The voter turnout was 39.30% in the ByElection contested yesterday.
