GA-RAPITSI | Four households have been experiencing a two-month electricity outage after a contractor's truck damaged an electric pole supplying them with electricity during regravelling work at Ga-Rapitsi Village, ward 08 under Greater Letaba Municipality. The residents claim to have notified Eskom, the Municipality, and the contractor about the issue, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Consequently, they decided to report the matter to Perfect Radio News. Perfect Radio reporter, Thabile Mokhobi, engaged with the affected families and found that the contractor responsible for the damages has been providing empty promises to repair the pole, with no concrete actions taken. In response to the allegations, the contractor has committed to fixing the electricity supply pole by Friday, 14 November 2025, as stated in a recent conversation with him.
