KHETHLAKONI VILLAGE | The African National Congress (ANC) in Limpopo held a meeting on 20 May with the Modjadji Royal Family at Khethlakoni Village to discuss issues affecting the Balobedu Royal Nation and surrounding communities.
The meeting was attended by members of the ANC delegation including ANC Provincial Spokesperson Tonny Rachoene, Deputy Regional Chairperson Dagma Mamanyoha, Provincial Secretary Musanda Reuben Madadzhe, Provincial Deputy Secretary Pule Shayi, PEC Head of Organising and Mass Mobilisation Goodman Mitileni and the Royal Council leadership, including Spokesperson of the Royal Council Mr. Ronnie Moroatshehla. The discussions focused on promoting peace, unity and stability within the Balobedu nation while protecting the dignity of the Modjadji Royal Queenship.
During the engagement, both parties also discussed service delivery challenges facing local communities. They agreed on the need to speed up projects aimed at improving access to clean water, repairing damaged roads and improving local transport infrastructure.
The ANC and the Royal Council further agreed to continue working together and maintain open communication to monitor progress on the identified community issues and development projects.
The engagement highlighted the importance of cooperation between political and traditional leadership in addressing challenges faced by communities.
