EFF’S THABANG LEBEPE TAKES OVER AS A COUNCILLOR OF GREATER LETABA MUNICIPALITY

BOLOBEDU | The Greater Letaba Municipality has officially welcomed a new councillor, Thabang Patrick Lebepe following a swearing-in ceremony held today 12 May 2026 at the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court.

According to the statement released by the Greater Letaba Municipality Facebook, Cllr Thabang Patrick Lebepe of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) took the oath of office before Magistrate Roussow, officially joining the municipal council.

Cllr Lebepe fills the position left by former EFF Mopani Regional Chairperson and member of Executive Committee of Greater Letaba Municipality Councillor Simon Mangena, who was recalled by the party in April 2026 and recently joined ACTION SA

The ceremony was witnessed by Speaker Cllr Maria Mokgwathi and Manager for Council Support Mr Phillemon Malola, representing the Greater Letaba Municipality Council.

Cllr Lebepe assumes his role today, Tuesday, 12 May 2026.
