FORMER UMKHONTO WESIZWE PARTY MP JOINS THE AFRIKA MAYIBUYE MOVEMENT

POLITICS | Former uMkhonto weSizwe Party MP Papa Penny, born Gezani Eric Kobane, has joined the Afrika Mayibuye Movement. The leader, Floyd Shivambu made the announcement during a press conference held in Johannesburg today, 20 May 2026, where the movement officially welcomed him.
Shivambu said Papa Penny will lead its campaign in the Greater Giyani Municipality as part of efforts to strengthen support ahead of the elections.
