TZANEEN TODAY | The Greater Tzaneen Municipality (GTM), conducted a series of official visits and project handovers across Wards 02, 04 and 05 today on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
Today’s programme commenced with a meeting with the Nyavana Traditional Authority at Xihoko Village in Ward 04, where the delegation engaged with traditional leadership on matters relating to governance and service delivery.
His Worship, Mayor Cllr Odas Ngobeni, then paid a courtesy visit to Headman Mohale at Mawa Block 08 in Ward 2 before proceeding to Mawa Block 12, where he officially handed over a contractor for an electrification project aimed at improving access to electricity for residents.
The Mayor then proceeded to Ward 5, where he handed over two additional contractors. The first contractor will undertake the Msiphani Taxi Road Culvert Bridge Project in Msiphani Village, while the second will be responsible for the Akanani to Mugwazeni Culvert Bridge Project in Akanani Village.
According to the municipality, these projects form part of its ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing access to essential services and strengthening service delivery across communities.
Residents are expected to benefit from improved road connectivity and reliable infrastructure once the projects are completed.
