MAYOR ODAS NGOBENI DONATES WHEELCHAIR TO WOMAN LIVING WITH DISABILITY AT MOHLAKONG VILLAGE

MOHLAKONG VILLAGE | After monitoring the road regravelling project in Mothomeng Village, Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor, Cllr Odas Ngobeni, proceeded to Mohlakong Village in Ward 07 on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 to donate a wheelchair to Ms Helen Ratjeke as part of his daily community outreach programme.

The donation is aimed at improving Ms Ratjeke’s mobility and restoring her dignity by making it easier for her to move around and participate in daily activities.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Ms Ratjeke’s younger sister, Prudence Ratjeke, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Mayor, saying the donation had answered their prayers after several unsuccessful attempts to obtain assistance.

She also appealed for donations of adult nappies and gloves to help care for her sister.

Mayor Ngobeni reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to improving the lives of residents through responsive leadership, community engagement and partnerships that uplift vulnerable members of society.
