MAYOR ODAS NGOBENI LAUNCHES R6.4M FOR MAVELE PHASE 7 ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT

MAVELE VILLAGE | The Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor Cllr Odas Ngobeni proceeded to Sevengwane Secondary School Hall where he officially launched the R6.4 million Mavele Phase 7 Electrification Project, which will provide electricity to 273 households in Ward 06, today, Thursday, 16 July 2026

The Omphile Electrical and Construction appointed as the contractor and NSK Electrical and Construction as the consultant.

Construction starts on 16 July 2026 and is expected to be completed by 16 March 2027.

Mayor Ngobeni urged residents to report electrical faults directly to Eskom and avoid illegal electricians. He also encouraged qualifying households to register for the municipality’s indigent programme to receive free basic electricity. He also urged the community members to safeguard the infrastructure.
