BOLOBEDU TODAY | Today, 26 June 2026, a total number of thirteen initiation schools were closed in Bolobedu following the withdrawal of permits within the Modjadji Queenship.
The joint operational team comprising initiation school monitors from various Districts and SAPS officials conducted an operation by visiting all identified illegal initiation schools and were moved to legally established initiation schools outside Bolobedu
1. Nemabulani P relocated his school from Bellevue Village to Venda with 09 initiates.
2. Phokane MD relocated his school from Ga-Ntata Village to Relebogeng Private Farm with 128 initiates.
3. Phokane MD relocated his school from Ramodumo Village to Ga-Dikgale with 174 initiates.
4. Manyama C relocated his school from Lelgwareng Village to Ga-Mathere with 17 initiates.
5. Phokane MD relocated his school from Maunatlala Village to Relebogeng Private Farm with 22 initiates.
6. Malatji PP relocated his school from Mookgo Village to Relebogeng Private Farm with 38 initiates.
7. Maake RD relocated his school from Mothobeki Village to Ngunyula Farm with 33 initiates.
8. Malatji PP relocated his school from Medinyeni Village to Relebogeng Private Farm with 20 initiates.
9. Kgatla MP relocated his school from Bodutle Village to Relebogeng Private Farm with 27 initiates.
10. Kgatla Q was found operating illegally and the school was relocated from Kgwekgwe Village to Ga-Leshiba with 17 initiates.
11. Leshiba P relocated his school from Ramphelo Village to Ga-Leshiba with 27 initiates.
12. Ramogole MT relocated his school from Rampenyane Village to Driehoek Farm with 07 initiates.
13. Raseokgo MT relocated his school from Shawela Village to Capricorn Ga-Malemela with 54 initiates.
A total of 13 illegal initiation schools were closed, affecting 573 initiates, all of whom were relocated to legally operating initiation schools.
