MAYOR ODAS NGOBENI INSPECTS JULESBURG STADIUM TO PREVENT IT FROM BECOMING A “WHITE ELEPHANT

JULESBURG – Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor, Cllr Odas Ngobeni, visited Julesburg Stadium morning, Tuesday 25 August 2026 to assess the condition of the infrastructure and identify areas that need urgent attention.

The oversight visit aimed to determine what must be done to make the facility fully accessible and functional for the public.

Mayor Ngobeni said he wants to see the stadium operational and benefiting the community, rather than becoming a “white elephant.”

He confirmed that the municipality will send a technical team to conduct a full assessment of the challenges identified and ensure that the necessary repairs are addressed.

The Mayor emphasised the importance of maintaining public facilities so they can be used effectively for sporting and community activities.
