BREAKING NEWS | The Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA) is currently enforcing the closure of initiation schools in Bolobedu in accordance with the directive issued by the Office of the Premier following the ANC provincial implementation of feedback requested by the Modjadji Royal Council.
The officials from COGHSTA and public order police (POP) are en route to deliver notices to the initiation schools across Bolobedu, today, Friday, 26 June 2026.
Despite the court dismissal of the urgent application to stop Initiation schools, and Court interdict to prevent closure, the closing are currently taking place as the Limpopo Premier has withdrawn the permits.
