EXECUTIVE MAYOR, CLLR PULE SHAYI CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY

GA-SEKORORO: The Mopani District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr Pule Shayi celebrated his birthday in a meaningful way by gifting two boreholes to local agricultural cooperatives in Balloon Village today, 30 June 2026 in Maruleng Local Municipality.

The cooperatives, Ngwanasenwayi and Matsheremane Primary were the beneficiaries of the donations as part of Cllr. Pule Shayi’s 54 year birthday celebration in a remarkable way to make significant contributions to the local economy through agricultural production and job creation.

During the handover ceremony, Executive Mayor Cllr Pule Shayi emphasized the importance of investing in initiatives that create opportunities and improve lives. He stated that the boreholes represent a valuable investment in the people and the future of the communities.

Maruleng Local Municipality Mayor, Cllr Tsheko Musolwa, commended the Executive Mayor’s gesture, describing it as a testament to his commitment to servant leadership.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Ms Anna Selane expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying the borehole would greatly enhance the cooperative’s farming operations and enable them to increase production and create more jobs.
