POLOKWANE | Musician Lehlogonolo “Shebe Maburna” Chauke had brought a medical doctor to testify in his new bail application in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo.

“You could notice that the which limb was injured and in terms of the function mobility, the right shoulder would not extend as much. I think it would extend to 90 degrees, where less the other one would extend fully and then obviously psychologically he was not okay as well, he could not sleep, he also talked much about the loss of his daughter.”

Chaba has also told the court that Chauke sustained severe injuries that need regular treatment from an orthopaedic surgeon.

“Under normal circumstances, you can have a fracture, they put a back lap and you go home the same day, but the fact that he was admitted for weeks that show that the injury where server and when you look at the image or looking at the fracture, the bones were completely broken. They were broken and displaced, meaning they were no longer aligned with each other, which then led to the operation that he required.

The Polokwane Magistrate’s Court has postponed the urgent bail application of Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke to Thursday, the 23rd of April 2026 to allow both the defence and the State to address the merits of the application.
