BREAKING NEWS | RESIDENTS OF ZANGOMA VILLAGE PROTEST OVER POWER OUTAGES, CLOSE R36 ROAD

ZANGOMA | Residents of Zangoma Village are currently protesting over ongoing power outages following the explosion of their power transformer since December last year. The protest is currently underway this morning, Friday, 11 September 2026.

It is alleged that residents have closed the R36 road between Lenyenye and Rita, causing traffic disruptions in the area.

Motorists are advised to avoid the R36 road around Zangoma and use alternative routes.

Police are at the scene to monitor the situation.
