GA-SEKGOPO – The Sekgopo Matsorang Foundation mass prayer is currently underway in Ga-Sekgopo this afternoon, Saturday, 03 October 2026.
The prayer service has brought together government leaders, traditional leadership, law enforcement, emergency services and the community in a united call for safety and success.
The mass prayer is attended by Deputy Minister of Police Cassel Mathale, MEC Nakedi Kekana Mopani District Municipality Executive Mayor Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha, Greater Letaba Municipality Mayor Cllr Rosina Ramalatso, Modjadji Royal Council led by Prince Lekukela Modjadji, members of the South African Police Service, Firefighters and Rescue, Department of Health, ANC Letaba Sub-Region, Limpopo Residents Association (LIRA), Africa Mayibuye members, Congress of the People (COPE, Mabina Foundation, Rakwadu Circuit learners, pastors, traditional health practitioners and community members.
The mass prayer is aimed at praying for the Class of 2026 matric learners ahead of their final examinations, for peace and unity in the community, and for road safety on the R81 and other roads in Limpopo, which have claimed many lives.
The Foundation said the prayer seeks to promote social cohesion and call for divine intervention against accidents, crime and other social ills affecting the area.
