MAYOR ROSINAH RAMALATSO MONITORS PROGRESS OF MAUPA STREET PAVING PROJECT

MAUPA VILLAGE | Greater Letaba Municipality Mayor Cllr Rosinah Ramalatso, together with Madam Speaker Cllr Maria Mokgwathi, Chief Whip of Council Cllr Regina Maake and Technical Services Portfolio Head Cllr Rito Baloyi, monitored the progress of the 4.9 kilometre Maupa Street Pavement Project on Tuesday, 29 September 2026.
Mayor Ramalatso focused on assessing the progress of the project and ensuring that the work is being carried out according to plan.
The project is in its final stages, with Phase 1 fully completed at 100%, meanwhile Phase 2 stands at 99.5% and Phase 3 at 98.9%. However, the SANRAL-related section has not yet commenced, with progress currently at 0% as it is awaiting approval for the connection to the R81.
Engagements between SANRAL and the Municipality are ongoing to address the outstanding approval and facilitate the connection.
