DNA CONFIRMS IDENTITY OF REMAINS FOUND AT GA-MABULANA MOUNTAIN

GA-MATIPANE – DNA results have confirmed that human remains found on Ga-Mabulana mountain on 11 July 2025 belong to the reported missing 38-year-old man, Godfrey Tebogo Seipone of Ga-Matipane. He was also known as “Poo ya Bolobedu.”
Seipone was last seen at Ga-Mothobekgi on 26 December 2024. He was wearing denim trousers and a maroon T-shirt when he disappeared. The matter was reported to Perfect Radio, police, and the community.
On 11 July 2025, members of the community at Ga-Mabulana found the human remains and clothing believed to belong to a male on the mountain and informed Perfect Radio, police and forensic pathology services responded to the scene. DNA testing was conducted to determine the identity of the deceased.
The family received the results and informed Perfect Radio today, Monday, 22 June 2026.
Seipone will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Ga-Matipane.
The family thanked the Matipane community members who assisted during search operations, the police, as well as Perfect Radio as they now found closure.
