GTM AND CENTRE OF GRACE CHURCH COLLABORATES TO DONATE SCHOOL UNIFORMS TO FOUR SCHOOLS

KHUJWANA VILLAGE | The Greater Tzaneen Municipality, in partnership with Centre of Grace Church under Bishop Mhlarhi, has donated 80 sets of school uniforms to four schools in the Greater Tzaneen area today, Thursday 27 August 2026.

The beneficiary schools are Matimu High School, Shikhati Primary School, Thabeng Primary School and Khujwana Primary School, with each school receiving 20 sets of uniforms. Each set includes a pair of trousers, a shirt and school shoes.

Learners in need were identified jointly by the schools and the church.

The uniforms were handed over to the schools by church representative Pastor Doreen Sibanda, together with Head of Sports, Arts and Culture, Cllr Renny Mabuza.

Mabuza welcomed the initiative, saying the partnership with stakeholders such as Centre of Grace Church helps restore the dignity of children and supports learners in need.

Cllr Mabuza also shared his personal experience of attending school without shoes, saying he understands the challenges faced by children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

He expressed appreciation to Centre of Grace Church and all sponsors for contributing towards the wellbeing and education of local learners.
