MAYOR ODAS NGOBENI CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY BY GIVING BACK TO CHILDREN

TZANEEN | As part of his birthday celebration today, 22 September 2026, Greater Tzaneen Municipality Mayor, Cllr Odas Ngobeni, chose to celebrate with purpose by bringing smiles, gifts and hope to the children of Noah’s Ark.

Instead of a traditional celebration, Mayor Ngobeni spent the day with orphaned and vulnerable children, sharing special moments and spreading birthday cheer.

The Mayor and his team arrived bearing gifts including toys, stationery and books, much to the delight of the young residents. The gesture filled Noah’s Ark with smiles and excitement, making the Mayor’s special day even more meaningful.

Mayor Ngobeni also expressed his appreciation to the caretakers of Noah’s Ark for the important role they play in providing care, love and support to the children.

“You have something special and you are the future. There are people who care about you and want to see you grow and succeed,” the Mayor told the children.

Sylvie Delsouiller, co-founder of Noah’s Ark, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Ngobeni for choosing to spend his birthday with the children, describing his visit as an honour and thanking him for the care and support shown to the young residents.
