MEET RAYMOND SELOWA, A 30-YEAR-OLD RENOWNED SOUTH AFRICAN MEDIA PROFESSIONAL, FOUNDER AND STATION MANAGER OF PERFECT RADIO

Meet Mr. Raymond Selowa , a 30-year-old renowned South African media professional, founder and station manager of Perfect Radio, a community-centric station launched on July 13, 2021. Initially broadcasting from a bedroom in Ga-Seaphole and a year later relocated to Mokwakwaila Thusong Service Centre outside Tzaneen, Limpopo.

Selowa’s educational background includes a degree in Media Studies from the University of Limpopo. Under his leadership, Perfect Radio has become a hub for local content, music, and sports, offering internship opportunities to unemployed graduates to combat unemployment.

The station, under Selowa’s leadership, has garnered multiple accolades, including the Mayor’s Special Award from the Greater Letaba Municipality in 2024, the Molototsi Circuit Appreciation Award in 2024, a commendation from the University of Limpopo Alumni and Convocation Centre, and the Sekgopo Matsorang Foundation Award in 2025, all for his contributions to community development.

Prior to establishing Perfect Radio, Selowa worked at SABC Radio Sales as a voice-over artist and translator and hosted a radio entertainment slot on Thobela FM, earning him the FAME SA Awards for Best Radio Entertainment Reporter.

Currently, Selowa is hosting a compelling listening online show, Sa Mafahleng programme on Perfect Radio on Mondays and Thursdays and the gospel show Moya waka reta Morena. As a news reporter, he covers significant local issues, serving as a bridge between the community and government entities.
