MOPANI DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY WELCOMES NEW EXECUTIVE MAYOR DAGMA MAMANYOHA

Mopani District Municipality has announced Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha as the new Executive Mayor, following his election at the municipal council today, Wednesday 16 September 2026.

The appointment follows the resignation of former Executive Mayor Cllr Pule Shayi, who has assumed responsibilities as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature and MEC for COGHSTA.

Cllr Mamanyoha, who previously served as Mayor of Greater Letaba Municipality, brings extensive experience in local government, governance, public administration and community development.

In his acceptance address, the Executive Mayor expressed appreciation for the confidence entrusted in him and pledged to execute his responsibilities to the best of his ability.

He further acknowledged the contribution of former Executive Mayor Cllr Pule Shayi, recognising his service and leadership during his tenure at Mopani District Municipality.
