POLOKWANE | The bail application of Limpopo musician Lehlogonolo “Shebe Maburna” Chauke, accused of attempted murder, has been postponed to Thursday, 30 April 2026, at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court.
State Prosecutor in the bail application, Shebe Kgaogelo Lekoloane, says there are no exceptional circumstances to have Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke released on bail.
He says that even with new facts, there are still not enough reasons to have the Lekompo sensation released on bail.
The proceedings followed an earlier postponement, which was granted to give both the State and defence time to finalize and present their closing arguments before the court.
The court has reserved judgment, to be delivered on Thursday, 30 April 2026, determining whether Chauke will be released on bail or remain in custody while legal proceedings continue.
