UPDATE | The owner of the abandoned TATA bakkie at Modubung has been found following the public assistance request.
According to one of the community members, Joseph Kapa, the owner is a resident of Mamakata Village. He reportedly visited Modubung Village on Friday night, 24 April 2026, to spend time at Mamas Eating House when his vehicle got stuck.
The owner decided to push the vehicle from Mamas Eating House to where it is currently parked before returning home. He became occupied with other commitments over the weekend and did not get the opportunity to return and check on the vehicle or even inform the community members that the vehicle belongs to him.
The vehicle remains parked at Modubung as it has not yet been repaired.
The Modubung residents extend their sincere appreciation to the public for their assistance in tracking the rightful owner of the vehicle.
