MEC BASIKOPO MAKAMU HANDS OVER BRAND NEW BMW X5 TO THE BALOBEDU QUEENSHIP 

BOLOBEDU | The Limpopo MEC for the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Basikopo Makamu, today on Thursday, 23 April 2026, on behalf of the Premier of Limpopo Dr Phophi Ramathuba handed over a new BMW X5 to Her Majesty Queen Masalanabo Modjadji VII of the Balobedu Queenship at Shidila Lodge in Kgapane.

 

The handover was attended by the Minister of Defence, Angie Motshekga, Acting Mayor of Greater Letaba Municipality Thabo Kgapane, Acting Executive Mayor of Mopani District Municipality MMC Makhananisa, Chief Director Jacob Mashishi, Senior Director Mr Ngobeni, and Mr Maswanganyi from CoGHSTA Legal Services.

 

Also in attendance were the Royal Council and Royal Family, including Chairperson of the Royal Council, Mr Rauphala Mabokela; Secretary of the Royal Council, Sello Modjadji; Spokesperson Thabisang Mabale; and Senior Traditional Leader, Chief Molate Mokoto.

 

MEC Basikopo Makamu said CoGHSTA handed over the vehicle to enable Her Majesty Queen Masalanabo Modjadji VII to assist and visit the people of Balobedu, as part of supporting and strengthening the traditional leadership of the Balobedu.
